Great location, very good food. Prices are reasonable. I always recommend going with several people and then ordering across the map and then sharing everything. This is the best way to try all facets of the menu. Very authentic and really my favorite restaurant outside of Istanbul.
Great authentic Turkish food. Do try their Adana kebab
Very good
Very good taste and pricewise it is OK as well.
Great taste cultural touch
The taste and service was great. It is especially important for me to serve the drinks covered.
A cool restaurant with a great ambience. Food tastes delicious. Recommended to reserve as it is almost always full and you should wait until a table is free.
The food was delicious, friendly staff and the prices were perfectly okay. Was worth it. However, you should consider whether you allow guests to make reservations. After all, the shop is always full.
Yummy food but they won’t take your credit card
The food is just fantastic, the ambience and the staff are great. You just have to expect longer waiting times in front of the door, as it is very crowded. That just shows that great quality is also offered. Especially when you consider how much competition there is on a street 👍
Good food and ambience. Must visit if you are looking for an authentic Turkish cuisine experience.
I drove to Mannheim especially to eat here. It was very worth it. The choice is huge. Service very nice. We recommend.
Nice service Turkish Kebap very
Super
We were seated at a table with strangers. The meat wasn't quite through. The music is very loud so you can't hear the people at the same table. The waiters stare at you constantly and give the impression that you have to eat and leave quickly so that there is room for customers queuing outside. If you want to enjoy the food, you should definitely not come here.
Good
The best Lahmacun I have eaten in Germany is the closest to Antep Lahmacun. Even though Chicken Sis is dry, Lamb is definitely recommended!
Amazing food but staff takes a lot of time to bring food. We actaully waited 30 minutes while reordering some more food. Plus no guidelines regarding Covid-19 are followed in the restaurant (no masks and so on).
Very unfriendly staff, no importance is attached to distance rules. Strangers have never been seated with us in a restaurant. The meat was very good, but that was the worst french fries I had. No mayo / ketchup, not even seasoned with salt or anything and were very rickety. Even mc Donald's fries are better if you leave them standing for an extra long time.
My girlfriend and I went to eat here. We ordered 2 plates with onions, meat and rice. The plate tasted good, but it would be better not to serve the salad that goes with it as a starter but with the main course. The meat tasted good, but the french fries that we ordered were very bad. They were unseasoned, like shoving the cheapest french fries in the oven and then serving them straight to a plate. We weren't even asked if we wanted ketchup or mayonnaise with it. In addition, the bread that we got with the main course is old, I think, because it was like rubber and a bit hard. Everyone who came after us got their food beforehand. Our waiter wasn't really sympathetic. We also had to wait about 10 minutes to be able to order something. The distances are under all pig. We sat between two tables and were only half a meter away from both. The main thing is that the store is full. The prices are good, unlike other restaurants, no overpriced drinks, but my Cola Zero was not carbonated.
It used to be my favorite restaurant. I really enjoyed eating there, but now I really can't understand why the staff walk around so unfriendly and conceited. You are still eating and it is also asked whether you can clear away, as there are other customers waiting outside and the bill is of course ready right away. More like band work to me. The portions of the food were of course also reduced. The food itself tastes really good, you can't say anything about that. However, you really have to work on the above points. Unfortunately, you have lost me as a customer and, accordingly, my environment. A real shame
For me one of the best Turkish restaurants in Mannheim. Prices are great. Service is quick and always nice. Even as a German citizen, you are not treated differently here, as is sometimes claimed: D. We are always thrilled! PS: We always ask for the yoghurt sauce with our food and it is just AMAZING !!
My absolutely favorite Turkish restaurant in Mannheim! Unfortunately, especially in the evening, it is so crowded in the Ocakbasi that people are even queuing outside. This is of course a bit annoying - especially since you can't make reservations - but it also speaks for the popularity of this restaurant. Inside it is a bit small and accordingly a bit louder. For this, the large glass front is always opened in summer so that you can get some fresh air. The waiters are nice and fast, but could sometimes take a little more time so that everything doesn't get so hectic. The interior is very warm and homely. The tables are quite close to each other, but the corona rules are largely observed. The very best thing about ocakbasi, however, is the dishes. I look forward to the Adana kebab every time! I recommend it to everyone. The meze plate is a great starter. Before that you get warm pide. There is also a side salad for almost every dish. In terms of price, the dishes are okay. In my opinion the best of the Turkish restaurant in Mannheim.
I think the ocakbasi used to be better. Now it's just about clearing the Aries table quickly. The food is nothing to complain about. The staff tries hard, only you realize that they are overwhelmed. Ocakbasi just has the luxury problem that too many people want to eat there. And accordingly it is always full. And that in turn means volume and tight.
Unfortunately, neither distance rules nor service. Goods to eat with friends wanted to give this shop a chance, unfortunately much too loud. We had the feeling they wanted to process everything quickly so that the table is occupied as much as possible. The whole thing was topped by the fact that they were very brazen without paying attention to the distance regulation and without asking us to seat strangers at our table. The response from the staff to our complaint was, here in Mannheim it’s like that, there’s no distance, it’s about to get so crowded here we all have to sit next to each other.
The most famous kebab house (or Turkish cuisine) in Mannheim. The food is delicious and the prices are comparable to the competition You get a nice and clean atmosphere and a free salad The staff are nice and polite and the waiting time for food is acceptable The biggest problem is the large number of visitors ... the store is always full Reservations are not made and there are always huge queues on weekends I would recommend everyone to come and eat here
The best Adana Kebab far and wide. I've been eating here for years and it always tastes great. There is a star deduction for the very changeable service quality. On my last visit, the service was really unfriendly. Since I've been a customer for a long time, I know that this is more of an exception.
If you have any idea and value the kitchen from Gaziantep, go there. Hardly any other restaurant in Germany gets the Lahmacun so spectacular in this way. The selection of dishes and the service is absolutely great. It is important to know that this is not a restaurant for candle light dinners, but that it is a bit louder.
The food is amazing and definitely worth 5 stars but the staff is too slow, you need to wait ages to order or to pay, and the music is way too loud when ever I go there. It is really difficult to have a proper conversation with someone sitting opposite you.
Authentic Turkish food and affordable price. Downside is that the restaurant feels a bit cramped up and is usually packed full so be prepared for that on weekends.

top top top
Perfect service and taste of Turkish dishes. 👍🏻 Keep it up.
Good home cooking, lots of lamb and chicken in the grilled specialties. Very spicy dishes, be careful of chillies if you are not used to extreme spiciness!
Mega!
His food is super
No good customer services the staff they not smiling, shouting it looks like you eating for free . And you can pay only with German credit card. I will never go there again.
Very good Turkish restaurant. On the weekends, the line is very long in front of it so you may need to wait until you get a seat.
Great Service, Delicious food. Very crowded though, but for a reason.
The best
Food was really delicious.

Fantastic
One of the best restaurants I've been into. Everything was great. This is a true gem
Hard to find a vacant seat in the restaurant in the evening and we tried the same in the following day afternoon which proved lucky as it was nearly full but we found our place, fresh minced spicy lamb meat from the skewer which reminds me of the best Gaziantep food tour i had along with hot lentil soup, salad and fresh baked bread from their well.maintained charcoal grill. The food tastes good and can easily satisfy a real foodie, highly recommended
Kebaps are good only in winter time, you smell after 1 hour like kebap as well. Airconditioning or air cleaning system is required for all such restaurants.
Ok
always wait wait wait...the service is sooooooo bad!
The food was awesome. The grilled chicken was so soft and juicy. They make fresh, frothy refreshing ayran. The decor of the place is also very authentic and is filled with beautiful art pieces.
Delicious!!!
